The purpose of an Internet marketer having a merchant account with Paypal is that it is difficult to run an Internet business without one. Paypal simply has no viable competition. The PayPal affiliate program will only apply to business to business Internet marketers or to those who provide information and instruction to new marketers. It will not be of any value to those who sell to customers because the accounts that are opened must be marketing accounts.
